Five months in!

It's been almost exactly 5 months since we have moved in and we are pretty happy with our house overall. We had to bust a move before the holidays to get some needed furniture and get some painting done before the holidays, as we invited our whole family from out of state.

Here are some photos of the finished product of our house. I absolutely love the colors we chose and the landscaping turned out pretty nice too. Although as spring nears I will be taking out some of the bushes and moving them elsewhere to plant something different. I also planted 100 daffodil and tulip bulbs in the front in honor of my mother and the one year anniversary of her passing. Spring has arrived early with these warm temperatures and they are already pushing their way through the hard ground and out to greet the sun!

And the last photos!! We really enjoyed putting lights on the house- it looked beautiful and I can't wait to decorate for christmas next year!

This was taken with the initial lights we put up---they were far too bright so we took them all down and replaced with a softer white with a small bulb. 

Have I said how much I love these cabbages?!

The final stretch!

It's been a few weeks and many things have been completed.  The following pictures show what has changed since the last post.

Still thinking about landscaping ideas. They will be adding their own landscaping before closing but we all know I will be adding more. If you have seen my mother's flower beds you know I have a lot of work ahead of me :) 

Again, so happy with our color choices. Just need the shutters on the little windows, the accent pieces on the porch, and they are changing out the garage door to the one that is featured on the model with the curved windows. 

We almost got the same granite from the kitchen in the bathrooms but I am so glad we switched to this light color. It looks gorgeous with the dark cabinets!

Turned out great except the soap dish needs to be moved to the other corner. Who wants their soap soggy?

The coffered ceiling is almost done and looks gorgeous!

I think we will put my Dad to work and add some additional molding on the outer corners- either way we are SUPER happy with this look!

Just what we have been waiting for!

The last week has shown many changes that makes us so excited! 

We were able to stop by this past Friday for a quick visit. We were not disappointed in any way.

Can you say excited?! I have been waiting to see this siding up since we picked it out months ago. I absolutely love the color! I can't wait to see the stone and shutters on the front! It is really coming together. We walked inside and the drywall is all completed and they are working on the siding on all sides of the house.

Our neighbor's house is getting their basement walls poured. I've never seen one of these things before but the idea is pretty smart!
